Abdullah is the Director of the King Abdulaziz Center for World Culture (Ithra) at Aramco. He is responsible for overseeing a wide range of diverse programs within art, knowledge, creativity, culture, and community for millions of visitors. Abdullah Al-Rashid guides the divisions of Ithra to develop unique and community engaging offerings that provide new experiences through cross cultural engagements and advanced learning opportunities in alignment with Vision 2030. Abdullah continues to build Ithras brand as a leading destination and hub for international and Kingdom wide talents and creative audiences.
Over the years, Abdullah has served in a number of leadership positions at Ithra, playing a leading role in the curation and development of major flagship programs. Abdullah Alrashid is also the Head of the Digital Wellbeing Program at Ithra, where he leads a global initiative focused on creating a discussion on the influence of digital platforms on our culture and identity, with a particular focus on the implications of social media on our psyche and behavior.
Abdullah oversees research, film and art activations, public awareness, and the annual Global Digital Wellbeing Summit. Abdullah received his MBA from DUKE University and worked at the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation in Washington DC and London as an intern.
