Nayla Tahan

Conference Co-Chair

Nayla is a second-year MBA candidate at London Business School. For three years prior to joining London Business School, Nayla ran her own business in Cairo producing luxury bedding and home accessories. Prior to that, Nayla worked an investment banking analyst for EFG-Hermes in Cairo. Nayla holds a BA in Economics from The University of Chicago.

Georges Abou Nader

Conference Co-Chair

Georges is a second-year MBA candidate at London Business School. Prior to joining London Business School, Georges worked in investment banking in Lebanon and advised clients on acquisition and private equity transactions. He then joined Tanit Group, a Beirut-based company that supplies medical equipment to hospitals across the MENA region, and managed its Middle Eastern operations. Georges holds a BEng in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the American University of Beirut as well as an MSc in Financial Engineering from Imperial College London.

Yousif Al Qassar

VP of Speakers

Yousif is a first year MBA candidate at London Business School and a member of the Executive Committee of the Middle East Club. Prior to joining London Business School, Yousif worked for the investment department of a development finance institution in Kuwait, focusing on real estate and infrastructure funds. He then joined Strategy& (formerly Booz & Company), advising Middle Eastern energy corporations on multiple strategy projects. Yousif holds a BS in Finance and a minor in Political Science from the University of Southern California.

Moe Moeen

VP of Speakers

Moe is a first-year MBA candidate at London Business School. Moe is a serial tech entrepreneur with a bunch of successful and unsuccessful startups. His first startup was an impact online crowdfunding platform for nonprofits and charities. Later he joined an EdTech high growth startup as operations and product manager for 3 years, and later on cofounded Snapp, the UBER-like on-demand taxi booking company of his country, Iran. The company now after less than 3 years, fulfills more than one and a half million rides per month and boasts a valuation of more than €50 M. Moe’s undergrad was Civil Engineering at the Sharif University of Technology of Iran, and now studies MBA at London Business School. He is a member of the Executive Committee of the Middle East Club and also the Private Equity and Venture Capital Club at London Business School.

Mai Abudabat

Mai is a first-year MBA candidate at London Business School and is an Executive Committee member of the Middle East Club and TedxLondonBusinessSchool. Prior to LBS, Mai spent four years working as a Commercial Specialist with the U.S. Department of Commerce covering multiple industries including power, renewable energy, water and waste water, travel and tourism and education. Mai also started her career in Transaction Services Ernst & Young, where she conducted feasibility studies and valuation models for companies across the Middle East. Mai holds a Bachelor of Science from University of Toronto, Canada.

Edmond is a first year MBA candidate at London Business School and a member of the Executive Committee of the Middle East Club. Prior to joining London Business School, Edmond worked for three years at Strategy& (formerly Booz & Company) where he focused on the energy and utilities industry in the Middle East. His diversified project portfolio includes the establishment of a leading R&D center for oil and gas and the development of a comprehensive demand-side management strategy for a public utility. Edmond holds a Bachelor of Electrical and Computer Engineering from the American University of Beirut.

Noor Almeshal

Noor is a first year MBA candidate at London Business School and a member of the Executive Committee of the Middle East Club. Prior to joining London Business School, Noor worked in investment management in both Kuwait and Hong Kong as a buy-side analyst. She also has entrepreneurial experience having launched an eCommerce platform providing natural skincare in the GCC. Noor holds a BBA in Finance and International Business from George Washington University.

Dahlia Farahat

VP of Marketing

Dahlia is a first year MBA candidate at London Business School. Prior to joining LBS, Dahlia was a Senior Associate with Alvarez & Marsal's Private Equity and Performance Improvement Practice in Dubai, UAE. There, she worked on operational and financial consulting engagements on behalf of private and public sector firms across the Middle East. Dahlia started her career as an Analyst at the Cairo-based investment bank CI Capital, where she worked on mergers & acquisitions and equity capital market offerings. Dahlia holds a BA in Economics from the American University in Cairo. 

Sarah Yakzan

VP of Logistics

Sarah is a Master’s in Management Candidate at London Business School. She previously worked as Marketing and PR Manager at the American University of Beirut (AUB), External Relations Coordinator at the TAKREEM foundation, and Blogger for Social Media Exchange (SMEX), where she published a number of manuals and press articles. She has a BA in English Literature from AUB and is currently interning with philanthropic fashion start-up Reddendi.

Bader AlQattan

VP of Speakers

Bader is a first-year MBA candidate at London Business School and is a member of the Executive Committees of the Middle East and Investment Management clubs. Prior to joining London Business School, Bader spent nine years working across various roles in the Hedge Funds Department at Kuwait Investment Authority. Bader is also a member of the board of directors of UNITIC, a Sarajevo-based real estate company, and was formerly a member of the board of directors of Pak Kuwait Investment Company, a development finance institution based in Karachi. Bader holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Information Technology from Virginia Tech.

Mark Hanna

VP of Speakers

Mark is a Master in Financial Analysis candidate at London Business School and a member of the executive committees of the Middle East, Family Business and Finance clubs. Prior to joining LBS, Mark was a FinTech analyst at FIS in London. He has also worked in investment banking at Shuaa Capital and strategy consulting at Deloitte, both in Dubai. Mark holds a Master of Engineering from Imperial College London.

Elie Farhat

Elie is a first year MBA candidate at London Business School. Prior to joining London Business School, Elie worked for two years at Inventis Corp. a spin-off of Booz & Company (now Strategy&). He managed the development of economic and financial reforms and the implementation of technology strategies for the top government officials of a Middle East developing country. Elie holds a Diplôme d'Ingénieur from the École Nationale des Ponts et Chaussées.

Christine Makhamra

President, Middle East Club

Christine is a second-year MBA candidate at London Business School and the President of the Middle East Club. She is currently doing an internship in private equity and she interned in investment banking during the summer. Before joining London Business School, Christine worked in consulting at EY Dubai. Christine holds a BBA in Finance with highest honours from the American University in Cairo. She is also a CFA charter holder.
